| Presentation of School Recycling Awards (Facilities Division) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
A competition was held this past school year to determine which schools were generating the most pounds of recycling material per student. Awards will be presented to the top three finishers in the elementary, middle, high and non-traditional school categories. There will also be an award for the overall district champion recycler and the Recycling Coach of the Year. |

Awards consist of trophies, a cash award deposited in a school account, and ten tee shirts for green teams at each school being recognized. The trophies and tee shirts are being donated by Republic Services, and the cash awards, totaling $3,000, will be derived from the savings generated through the recycling program. |
