Approve Letter of Engagement with Holland & Knight, LLP, to Renew Governmental Consulting Services (Government Relations Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Florida legislative, executive, and agency officials have an ongoing impact on education issues.  Additionally, the Empowering Effective Teachers project as well as various state and federal grant projects requires multi-agency communication and collaboration.  Special professional services ensure continued effective communication between government officials, agencies, and our school district.  The School District of Hillsborough County has successfully utilized the experienced and unique professional services provided by Bob Martinez through Holland and Knight, LLP, and therefore are recommending the continuation of these services.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
For services rendered by Holland & Knight, LLP, the School District of Hillsborough County will be billed $35,000.00 at $5,000.00 per month for a period of service that begins December 1, 2012, and ending June 30, 2013.
