Proclamation by Governor Rick Scott Observing November 2012 as Florida Parental Involvement in Education Month (Student Services and Federal Programs Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Annually, the Governor of the State of Florida proclaims November as "Florida Parental Involvement in Education Month." Family involvement in a child's learning is critical to student success from preschool through college, and sets the foundation for preparing Florida students to be life-long learners and meaningful contributors to society.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Increase promotion rates at all grade levels and the percentage of high school graduates
