Approve Award of Contract for Roof Replacement at 4 Sites (Tampa Bay Boulevard, Riverhills, and Foster Elementary Schools, and Webb Middle School)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

A previously approved District Facilities Five Year Program provides for replacement of selected roof areas at Tampa Bay Boulevard, Riverhills and Foster Elementary Schools, and Webb Middle School.  District staff combined the requirements into a single project and selected C. B. Goldsmith and Associates, Inc. from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design services.

The project was advertised and bids received (see attached bid tabulation).  Award of the contract for construction to the low bidder, R.F. Lusa & Sons Sheetmetal, Inc., is recommended.

• Construct and maintain facilities that create an environment conducive to teaching and learning
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)

Total funds in the amount of $837,000 are included in the District Capital Outlay:  Local Millage.  The contract amount being awarded is $836,220.
