| Approve the Payment to the University of South Florida (USF) for Services Associated with their Partnerships in Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) Magnet Schools Assistance Program (MSAP) Grant, Project #U165A100060-12 (Administration Division) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| The U.S. Department of Education (USDOE) awarded $11,568,525 to HCPS for the district's MSAP project. The purpose of this project is to support magnet schools that are part of an approved desegregation plan. The nature of the grant warrants extensive curriculum development. An Educational Partnership Coordinator (EPC) from USF Patel School of Global Sustainability will assist the school and district personnel in conducting comprehensive curriculum development. Since the supervision of the EPC will be in collaboration with USF, the University of South Florida will cover 50 percent of the cost. The remaining 50 percent will be covered via MSAP grant funds, totaling $20,000. | |
