Approve the Recommendation Regarding the Purchase of "Language Learning Software" from Rosetta Stone Ltd. (Sole-Source Provider) (Curriculum and Instruction Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
The materials in question, "Language Learning Software," from Rosetta Stone are utilized to enhance language instruction. This program helps in the development of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, as well as development of Cognitive Academic Language Proficiency. This program will be used for LYA (non-English speaker) and LYB (limited English speaker) English language learners in grades 3-12, family literacy, and staff development.
These licenses from Rosetta Stone are considered sole-source items and are exempt from the bidding process per Florida Department of Education 6A-1.012 purchasing policies as copyrighted materials. |
