Approve Memorandum of Agreement between the Drug Abuse Comprehensive Coordinating Office, Inc. and The School Board of Hillsborough County, FL (DACCO) (Student Services and Federal Programs Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
DACCO and The School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida, enter into this agreement to support the "Be the Wall" program, which is designed to assist families of youth regarding the dangers of underage drinking. Features of the program include website information and resource materials. The agreement will permit the "Be the Wall" information to be added to the mental health page on the district's web site. In addition, with the permission of middle and high school principals, resource materials may be distributed during parent conference nights, sporting events, and other activities. | |

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes) | |
The district will provide space for these services at the assigned schools with the permission of middle and high school principals. Approximate in-kind support from the district for this space and custodial support is $5,000 per year. | |
EVALUATION | |
Program services are evaluated by select DACCO staff and Supervisor of School Social Work Services. Input will also be solicited from the administrators and school social workers of the participating schools. | |
