EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
Principals and representatives of various local school Parent Teacher Associations (the "PTA") have expressed a desire to offer short term after school classes at school sites. Examples of potential classes are dance, cooking and painting. If approved, the PTA will contract with appropriately screened District employees and other individuals who meet the requirements under Florida Statutes, 1012.465 and 1012.467 (Statutes attached for reference). Non District employees will be required to submit a hold harmless agreement and insurance as stipulated in Paragraph 10 of the Agreement. Each site agreement will be for a term of one (1) year, subject to the School Board's right to terminate, reduce or restrict as stated in Paragraph 2 of the Agreement. By the School Board's approval of this model Agreement, it delegates its authority to the Superintendent to approve and execute agreements on the same terms with local PTAs at individual school sites. The School Board Attorney has reviewed and approved the Agreement as to format and content. |
