PWImpact 7.1 is a supplemental material used in the Intensive Developmental 2A, 7th grade reading course with students who are mandated to take reading due to their Level 2 score on their FCAT Reading test in the 2011/2012 school year. The program is a 10-week Jumpstart program aligned to the Common Core State Standards and correlated to the reading skills assessed on the 2012/2013 Reading FCAT assessment. The materials include complex text with response to text writing exercises designed to be implemented in three 15-day units. Pre and post assessments are provided for each 15-day unit in addition to individual passage assessments taught throughout the 15-day unit. The assessments focus on both vocabulary and comprehension mastery of skills. Each student will receive five individual 7.1 units of instruction books for the 10-week program. Each of the five student books will include all of the necessary materials for instruction. Teachers will receive a “PW7.1” teacher’s edition for the 10-week Jumpstart program.
