Approve the Disposal of Four Surplus or Damaged Vehicles from the Fleet Maintenance Section of the Transportation Department |

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
Attached is a list of surplus and/or damaged vehicles to be considered for disposal. We recommend that the vehicles be sold at public auction using the services of Tampa Machinery Auction, GovDeals.Com and/or various online bus auction sites. The vehicles are in poor condition and it has been determined that their estimated repair and maintenance costs will exceed their current values. On August 31, 2010, the Board approved the purchase of extended warranties for buses with VT365 engines. The buses we are requesting to dispose of have reached the mileage limitation on the extended warranty. |
