Approve Acceptance of Project for Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Renovation at McLane Middle School | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
On October 26, 2010, the Board approved the issuance of approximately $37,935,000 of Qualified School Construction Bonds (QSCBs) for renovation of roofs and heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems at various District sites. The QSCBs provided for acceleration of roof and HVAC renovations previously scheduled in the District Facilities Five Year Work Program. (QSCB funded projects are indicated in the attachment.) District staff selected KPI Engineering, Inc. from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design services for a project to renovate the HVAC system serving buildings 800 and 900 at McLane Middle School. On March 27, 2012, the Board awarded the contract for construction to Air Mechanical & Service Corp. |
