Approve Revised Agreement for the Use of School Classroom Facilities by the PTA Organization for Student After School Programs

On December 11, 2012, the School Board of Hillsborough County approved a model agreement to permit representatives of various local school Parent Teacher Associations (the PTA) use of classroom facilities to conduct short-term after school classes.  Since that time, the need for several modifications has been identified (changes are highlighted on the attachment).

Paragraph 6 has been revised to clarify a term limit for up to one year, not must be one year.  Paragraph 10 specifies insurance requirements and responsibilities for both the PTA Organization and their vendor/employees.

Clarification of the process using the current board-adopted "Facilities Usage and Rental Fee Agreement" in conjunction with the new agreement, which would detail the participants hours and number of classrooms, has been added to paragraph 5.

All other terms and conditions of the original agreement remain in effect.

The approval of the revised Agreement for the Use of School Classroom Facilities by PTA Organizations for After School Programs will have no financial affect to the School Board.
