Approve Signing and Execution of Amended Fee Simple Deed Conveying Property to the City of Plant City, Subject to Reverter
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
By deed dated October 15, 2002, the School Board conveyed property to the City of Plant City.  The conveyance of the property, on which the City’s Courier Park currently is located, was made subject to a reverter that would return the property to the School Board in the event that the City ceased to use it as a City “park/recreational facility.”  The City has asked that the reverter be broadened to allow that the property be used for other public purposes.  The amended deed would provide for a return of the property should it cease to be used for a “public purpose.”  The amended reverter would be identical to reverters imposed by the Board for other property conveyed to the City of Plant City.  The Superintendent recommends approval.
