Approve Corrective Fee Simple Deed for Property Transferred in 1992 to the Homeowners Association of the Plantation Subdivision

In 1989, Trafalgar Developers deeded land to the School Board of Hillsborough County for a future elementary school site in the Plantation subdivision located in the western Hillsborough County area.   A few years later, Trafalgar deeded another site and this was used to develop Cannella Elementary School.  In exchange for the second site, the School Board transferred the original property back to the subdivision's homeowners association.

The transfer deed dated September 8, 1992, contained a scrivener's error, the grantee was named "The Plantation of Carrollwood Homeowners, Inc."  The correct legal name of the homeowners association is "Plantation Homeowners, Inc."

The attached deed corrects the School Board's conveyance of the property to the Association's legal name.

The School Board's approval of the corrective deed to Plantation Homeowners, Inc. will have no financial impact to the Board.
