EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
We request approval of First Amendment to the Interlocal Agreement for Educational Services, which was approved by the School Board on June 12, 2012. Hillsborough County Fire Rescue requested this Amendment reflecting an unforeseen and urgent increase in hiring of new personnel and the need of additional training. The Amendment makes the following changes:

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes) | |
This item is included in the divisional general operating budget. The Occupational Completion Point (OCP) training programs provided for Hillsborough County fire fighters generate Workforce Education Funds based on enrollment. Hillsborough County will pay the OCP student tuition up to $45,600. Additionally, the County will remit up to $626,628.94 for Continuing Education Career Development classes; funds remitted by Hillsborough County cover instructor salaries and indirect costs. The maximum value of this agreement is $672,228.94. | |
EVALUATION | |
Evaluation will be based on an analysis of the number of hours of fire fighter training provided by June 30, 2014. | |
