EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
Orange Grove Middle Magnet School of the Arts has been designated as the first middle school to be invited to compete at the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) Ballet Competition finals that were held in New York City April 12 through 16.
Orange Grove had twenty entries submitted to YAGP in four categories: ten contemporary solos, seven ballet variations, one pas de deux, and two ensembles. After placing in the top 12 in a regional competition, ensembles traveled to New York in April for the United States finals. Orange Grove became a middle magnet school in 1998, and is home to 540 students in grades 6, 7 and 8. Students travel from all over Hillsborough County to attend Orange Grove Middle Magnet School of the Arts. |
