Recognition of the District Representatives for the 2013 VEX Robotics World Championship (Curriculum and Instruction Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
The VEX Robotics World Championship is a gathering of top robotics teams that compete with and against the best of the best in the world. McLane’s robotic team Vibot 1360V was one of 420 teams that competed in the high school division as well as being one of the few all girls teams to compete in the VEX Robotics World Championship.
McLane’s team finished in the top 10 of their division and one of the Vibot’s best moments was when they upset a world champion high school division in a qualifying round and broke their undefeated streak. McLane was also a runner up for the Design and Educate Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics awards. The competition was held April 17 - 20, 2013, in Anaheim, California. |
