SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve Acceptance of Project for Roof Replacement at Sligh Middle School
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
On October 26, 2010, the Board approved the issuance of approximately $37,935,000 of Qualified School Construction Bonds (QSCBs) for renovation of roofs and heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems at various District sites. The QSCBs provided for acceleration of roof and HVAC renovations previously scheduled in the District Facilities Five Year Work Program. The roof renovations are being executed in phases to avoid over-tasking available roofing contractors and ensure competitive pricing. (QSCB funded projects are indicated in the attachment.) District staff selected Weber & Tinnen, PA from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design services for a project to replace the roof at Sligh Middle School. Roof USA, Inc., was awarded the contract for construction on November 13, 2012. |
