Approve Acceptance of Project for Renovation at Caminiti Exceptional Center | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
An approved District Facilities Five Year Work Program included a project for renovation of Caminiti Exceptional Center. On October 5, 2010, the Board appointed Holmes Hepner and Associates Architects, Inc. to provide design services. On October 26, 2010, the Board appointed HCBeck, Ltd. to provide construction management services. The renovation of existing facilities included redesign of the Administration area for more efficient circulation; remodeling of the Media Center to accommodate technology and student access; additional parking spaces and exterior canopy; a new stage area in the Multi-purpose Room for school assemblies and graduation; new data, intercom, telephone, security, fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems throughout the campus; new fencing and signage; repairs and modifications to roof, walls and windows to eliminate moisture intrusion and improve energy efficiency; handicap accessibility improvements and correction of life safety deficiencies; new classroom aids; and new energy efficient lighting. |
