SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve the Purchase of BaselineEdge Business Dashboards Solution from Longleaf Solutions, LLC (Student Services and Federal Programs Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Student Nutrition Services (SNS) staff have been using Key Performance Indicators for the past five years to manage operations at each site. Using our own system of accessing data and building reports, we have generated site monthly progress reports, as well as a number of other management tools that help in monitoring productivity, participation, and expenses. However, the current system is limited in functionality in areas, such as statistical analysis.

BaselineEdge (Baseline) software is a centralized, web-based system that allows decision makers to gain access to snapshots of data at the school and district level. Longleaf Solutions, LLC (Longleaf) will provide SNS with a robust "dashboard" system for monitoring and evaluating program performance. Using concise and clear formats, the system will not only continue to give data on revenue and expenses, but will allow us to draw correlations between variables and analyze comparative data between different site-based operations. The system will not only provide software for site visitation reports and accountability reviews, but will place this information in each school’s "account," thereby making data easily accessible for staff.  The agreement with Longleaf also provides for training district staff members.

Longleaf provides the software and holds the copyright, therefore, is exempt from the solicitation process per Florida Department of Education rule 6A-1.012.

The initial term of this contract will be for a one-year period and may be renewed for subsequent one-year periods, as needed.  All prices offered are firm against any increase for at least one year from the effective date.  The Superintendent may renew this contract per the terms of the specifications. The District may terminate this agreement immediately upon written notice without cause.
