| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| On November 6, 2008, the Board approved the piggyback of the U.S. Communities agreement to purchase science/lab supplies and equipment. The initial term of the contract was from July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2013. U.S. Communities has extended the contract through June 30, 2015.
The contract pricing allows a total discount of 32 percent, with additional discount incentives for volume or large orders, and uses E-Commerce that could reach a total of 34.5 percent off. The Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) Purchasing Rule 6A-1.012 and district policy allow purchases from contracts awarded by other government agencies, district school boards, and the DMS at or below specified prices. The Superintendent is authorized to approve the renewal agreement, per the terms of the specifications. |

| EVALUATION | |
Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and Procurement Officer, who function as a team. Reviews are conducted face to face, typically quarterly, or by utilizing an online vendor performance report. Prior to soliciting a new contract, the Contract Administration Team must first give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract. |
