SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve a Reorganization of the Information Technology Division -- ATTACHMENT REVISED
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
We are proposing a reorganization of the Lawson work group within Information Services.  Currently, the Systems and Procedures Analyst oversees the day to day functionality of our Lawson operations and supervises the Analyst, Geo Info Systems Research.  The position of Systems and Procedures Analyst will be reclassified to Department Manager, Lawson System Administration, and the other position will be reclassified to Technology Specialist, Lawson System Administrator.

Within Assessment and Accountability, upon the retirement of Dr. John Hilderbrand in June 2009, the position of Director, Assessment and Accountability was advertised and Sam Whitten was hired for the position.  At the time of the hiring, the Director position was left vacant and Mr. Whitten was appointed as Assistant Director.  We are requesting the position now be reinstated to that of Director of Assessment and Accountability and that the Assistant Director position be eliminated.

Attachment A outlines the requests of the Information Services department.  Attachment B outlines the requests of the Assessment and Accountability department.  Each attachment includes the appropriate reorganization worksheet, updated job descriptions as well as the updated organizational chart particular to these reorganizations.
