Approve the Reorganization of the Division of Human Resources
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Over the past several years the Division of Human Resources has increased responsibilities with no change in the staffing required to fulfill its obligations.  Attachment A describes the requests of the Employee Benefits department.  Attachment B describes the requests of the Professional Standards department.  Attachment C describes the requests of the Safety & Risk Management department.  Attachment D describes the requests of the Services & Support department.  Each attachment includes the appropriate updated job descriptions as well as the updated organizational chart particular to these various reorganizations.  Note that the division reorganization continues to provide "career ladders" so the employees can move up into positions within the Division of Human Resources.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Recruit, develop, and retain a highly effective, diverse workforce • Provide for a district-wide succession planning structure and visible career ladder
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
The cost to the General Fund for the entire Human Resources reorganization is $80,758.32
