| Approve to Submit Grant Application to the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) and, if Approved, Accept Funds for the Florida Inclusion Network (FIN) for 2013/2014 (Instructional Support Division) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| We request approval to submit a grant application to the FLDOE for FIN. The major goals for 2013/2014 include increases in student achievement for students with disabilities through access to the general education curriculum in the least restrictive environment, provision of technical assistance and consultation for school districts and other stakeholders to expand meaningful inclusive practices in schools, and provision of facilitation and support for districts in the implementation of the Best Practices for Inclusive Education (BPIE 2.0) evaluation tool.

| If approved, grant funds of $107,000 will be included in the divisional special revenue/federal programs budget, FIN grant. | |
| EVALUATION | |
| Performance evaluation measures are determined by the FLDOE. The complete annual state performance report will be completed by December 2013. The results of the evaluation will be shared with all stakeholders. | |
