Recognition of the United Data Technologies Partnership, its Value to the District, and the Acceptance of Funds in the Amount of $200,000 (Information and Technology Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The partnership between the District and United Data Technologies provides considerable value beyond the provision of computer hardware.  In addition to the $200,000 donation, the HP Purchasing Edge Point Program of the Imaging and Printing Division and the UDT Bonus Point programs for computers, the contract provides a sliding scale cash rebate program of up to 4% of the value of all hardware purchases.  This rebate program that began with Hewlett Packard and is continuing with UDT has generated a total present value of $392,348 which is utilized to purchase equipment for schools qualifying for the District's technology refresh program.

The rebate in the amount of $200,000 will positively impact schools qualifying for the District's technology refresh program.
EVALUATION
Quarterly review of the United Data Technology contract includes the review of the programs, hardware, customer satisfaction, and funding provided through the contract.  These quarterly reviews are reported to the School Board.
