SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve the Interlocal Subgrant Agreement with the City of Tampa for the Implementation of the Cities Combating Hunger Through Afterschool Meal Program (CHAMP) and The School Board of Hillsborough County, FL (Student Services and Federal Programs Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Funds in the amount of $30,000 from the National League of Cities will be used to assist with the implementation of the new afterschool meal program at the following sites:  Just, Potter, Sulphur Springs, and Booker T. Washington Elementary Schools.

These schools have only a small amount of storage space and these grant dollars will help provide additional cold storage units and the purchase of transport carts for delivering the dinner meals to the designated schools. 

We appreciate the City of Tampa's support of the afterschool meal program in Hillsborough County schools.

If approved, grant funds of $30,000 will be used for implementation of the afterschool meal programs at four schools.
