(Sole-Source Provider) (Curriculum and Instruction Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
We are requesting approval for the purchase of Rotary Smart Lift equipment, four with manual controls and one with electronic controls.  This purchase includes the removal of old lifts and installation of new ones.

The equipment is being purchased for the Automotive Service Technology Program at Erwin Technical Center.  The existing lifts were installed when the building was owned by Sears.  These new lifts will bring the program up to industry standards and meet program certification requirements.

The Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) 6A-1.012 (6) Purchasing Policies and district policy allow purchases from contracts awarded by other government agencies, district school boards, at or below specified prices.  The equipment quote provided is based on 2011 list pricing with a 37.7 percent discount; freight charges are waived.  The current contract term expires September 30, 2014.  The installation is not covered under the NYSOGS contract, but will be provided by A&W Maintenance, Inc., Rotary's Tampa installer.
