Approve Revisions to Payroll Schedules for 2013-2014 Fiscal Year (Business Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recent developments require revisions to the payroll schedules for the 2013-2014 fiscal year.  The current schedules were approved on June 11, 2013, based on the previously Board-approved school calendar and the employee work calendars prepared by the Division of Human Resources (HR).  The attached revisions include:

  1. The recent addition of new positions for Assistant Teachers Classroom Support that require a new payroll schedule variation.  Per guidelines recently provided by Human Resources to school sites, these employees will be utilized as a daily classroom “substitute” working only on the 181 designated student days at 7.50 hours per day.
  2. An increase in HSEF union dues becomes effective with the payday on November 1, 2013, coinciding with the first payday for HSEF-negotiated new pay rates for the 2013-2014 fiscal year.

Revisions are notated throughout the attached payroll schedules.

EVALUATION
Payroll schedules are reviewed throughout the year.  Changes in work calendars, number of student days or other significant events may cause adjustments to the payroll schedules.
