Approve the Agreement for Technical Services with Cross & Joftus, LLC to Develop the Capacity of the Area Leadership Directors (ALD) (Administration Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
On April 10, 2012, the Board approved Cross & Joftus to develop a principal competency model to include recruitment and selection strategies in support of principal talent management practices. In this next phase the project will include planning and implementation support for activities to develop ALD competencies aligned with school leader standards and competencies. This phase will also include the development and implementation of an ALD evaluation aligned to the ALD competencies, as well as structures to build collective and individual ALD capacity. Standards and competency-based evaluation information will be utilized to differentiate development for ALDs.
In accordance with the Florida Department of Education, Purchasing Policy 6A-1.012(11)(a), the requirement for requesting competitive solicitation for commodities or contractual services from three or more sources is hereby waived as authorized by Section 1010.04(4)(a), F.S. for purchase by district school boards of professional services. |

EVALUATION | |
The project will be evaluated by assessing how ALD-practice impacts principal practice. Principal evaluation results and feedback from external coaches observing the ALD in the field will be used to assess impact. | |
