Approve the Amendment to the Memorandum of Agreement Between The School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida and Hillsborough County Health Department, Tampa Family Health Centers, Inc., Suncoast Community Health Centers, Inc., and MORE HEALTH, Inc. School Based Sealant and Fluoride Program | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
The Hillsborough County Health Department, Tampa Family Health Centers, Inc., and Suncoast Community Health Centers, Inc. will provide oral health screening and placement of dental sealant and/or fluoride varnish prevention services to Head Start, second grade, and third grade students attending Bryan Plant City, Cork, Gibsonton, Mort, Ruskin, Shaw, Sulphur Springs, and Witter elementary schools.
Oral health screenings were provided to third grade students in September 2012. Students at the aforementioned schools in Head Start and second grade will receive oral screenings on Wednesday, December 11, 2013. The addition of two grades and the name change of the Hillsborough County Health Department; are the reasons for the changes in the Memorandum of Agreement. |

EVALUATION | |
Annual reports will be submitted to the State of Florida, Department of Health. These reports will contain information regarding dental screening and follow-up. | |
