Approve Acceptance of Project for Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Renovation in Buildings T and EE  at Tampa Bay Technical High School

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

A previously approved District Facilities Five Year Work Program provided for renovation of the HVAC system serving buildings T and EE at Tampa Bay Technical High School.  District staff selected Engineering Professionals, Inc. from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design services.  The project scope included replacement of selected HVAC ducts, air handling units and rooftop cooling equipment serving Buildings T and EE.  The new equipment was connected to the existing energy management system and cooling plant serving the remainder of the campus.  On May 21, 2013, the Board awarded the contract for construction to  Kenyon & Partners, Inc. 

The design professional has certified that the referenced project is finally complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board acceptance.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
This project was included in the District Capital Outlay: Local Millage.

Payments to Date:  $394,425.99
Balance Due:  $16,655.80
