| Selection of Florida School Boards Association (FSBA) School Board Legislative Liaison and Alternate

| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| In order to encourage equal representation of all school boards in the legislative efforts of FSBA, their Bylaws call for each school board to annually designate a school board member to serve as their Legislative Liaison on the FSBA Legislative Committee. The Legislative Liaisons are the core of the FSBA Legislative Committee, serving as key authors of the FSBA Legislative Platform, and advocates in state and federal lobbying efforts. Legislative Liaisons are offered additional training opportunities to enhance their advocacy skills, general knowledge of the legislative process, and specific knowledge of key state and federal education issues.
The FSBA Bylaws call for the selection of the Legislative Liaison and an alternate during the November organizational meeting.
