Approve the Disposal of 24 Replaced and Damaged Vehicles from the Fleet Maintenance Section of the Transportation Department

Attached is a list of replaced and damaged vehicles with photographs to be considered for disposal.  We recommend that the vehicles be sold at public auction using the services of Tampa Machinery Auction or GoGov.Com.  The vehicles were evaluated and it has been determined that repair costs exceed their current value or the vehicles met the District Replacement Program.  Copies of the inspection forms are on file at the Transportation Department and are available upon request.

The District will receive approximately 90% of the sale price of the vehicles.  The auctioneer will retain approximately 10%.  Proceeds will be transferred to the vehicle replacement account.
