Approve Design Development for Renovation of Cannella Elementary School |

| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| A previously approved District Facilities Five Year Work Program provides for the renovation of Cannella Elementary School. On October 8, 2013, the Board appointed Fleischman and Garcia Architects and Planners, AIA PA and Vogel Bros. Building Co. to provide design and construction management services.
The proposed scope of work includes renovation of the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system; repair of existing playcourts; replacement of exterior light fixtures; new energy-efficient lighting; new ceilings and carpet; interior painting; new signage; a new fire sprinkler system; restroom renovations; data network upgrades; and correction of accessibility and safety deficiencies. Approval of design development as illustrated in the attachment will allow the design professional to proceed with construction documents. Project completion is scheduled for August 2014. |
