Approve Memorandum of Agreement with the University of South Florida (USF) Board of Trustees for the USF College of Education (COEDU) Tutor-A-Bull Program (Middle/Secondary Education) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
Tutor-a-Bull is a unique public/private collaboration between the Michelin Golf Classic, the USF COEDU, and Hillsborough County Public Schools designed to provide one-on-one tutoring for middle and high school students. The USF tutors are a select group of students primarily from the College's SunCoast Area Teacher Training and Educational Research (SCATTER) Honors Program. The program's vision is to encourage and increase a select number of adolescent students' motivation for school and provide them support for academic achievement while fostering hands-on experiences for pre-service teachers. Listed below are the middle and high schools participating in this initiative:

Funds up to $10,000 annually are available through the Supplemental Academic Instruction (SAI) budget. | |

Program services are evaluated at the end of the school year. USF reviews the data on students served. | |
