EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Florida Statutes 1001.42(18) and 1001.452 require school boards to annually review and approve SIPs, waivers, and the composition of SACs.

Schools develop and approve their SIPs annually using the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) SIP template. Through SIPs, schools implement a collaborative and ongoing process for improvement that aligns with the district goals and schools' student data. The purpose of SIPs is to provide a current description of students’ performance along with a system of goals, strategies, action steps, evaluation tools, evaluation processes, and professional development for increasing student achievement.  All SIPs have been uploaded to each school’s individual website, accessible through the district’s website. The Office of School Improvement reviews all SIPs and works with schools to ensure compliance and high standards.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Increase promotion rates at all grade levels and the percentage of high school graduates • Demonstrate consistent and effective teaching methods • Motivate students to become responsible learners • Challenge and support all students with an appropriate curriculum
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds of $557,988 from the Office Depot Rebate and the district Purchasing Card Rebate are budgeted to support SIPs (Project 5005).  Each school is provided funding of $3 per student.
