Approve the Purchase of i-Ready Licenses and Professional Development from Curriculum Associates, LLC (Sole-Source Provider) (Curriculum and Instruction Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
i-Ready is a supplemental material that provides a blended model of print materials and technology-delivered literacy assessment and instruction.  The material will be implemented in 11 elementary extended reading time sites, which are identified by the Florida Department of Education as being in the 100 lowest performing Florida elementary schools.  The i-Ready program provides an individualized adaptive online diagnostic assessment, progress-monitoring assessments, and automated differentiated online instruction.  The program also creates individualized instructional plans utilizing the Ready print materials.  All materials in the blended model are aligned to the elementary English Language Arts Common Core State Standards.

Each of the 11 sites will receive for students in grades 2-5 the i-Ready Diagnostic and Instruction for Reading site licenses and Ready Common Core Instruction Reading print books.  Every grade 2-5 i-Ready teacher will receive a teacher resource book.  Professional development will include a district train-the-trainer full-day session, 11 customized on-site classroom support days, and 2 customized support webinars.  The following elementary schools will be participating:  Broward, Burney, Dover, James, Just, Oak Park, Potter, Ruskin, Shaw, Sheehy, and Sulphur Springs.

Curriculum Associates, LLC is designated as sole-source, and owns the copyright to all i-Ready licenses, training materials, and professional development.  This purchase is exempt from the requesting competitive solicitations by Florida Department of Education 6A-1.012 Purchasing Policies (11) (b).
