Approve Progress Testing Contract for the Licensure of FCAT Test Makers Item Banks (Information and Technology Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
Progress Testing’s FCAT Test Maker Item Banks have been written to Florida’s Next Generation Sunshine State Standards and built to the FCAT 2.0 Test Item Specifications and End-of-Course Test Item Specifications. The blended banks include Common Core type items.
FCAT Test Maker Item Banks have been previously licensed as a part of the Scantron Achievement Series Contract. For coming school years, the licensure of these items have been removed from that main contract and is being contracted directly with the providing company, Progress Testing, to allow for more flexibility in contracted components of item banking and test platforms moving forward. |
|
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES | |
• Align the performance management system with the district’s priorities • Demonstrate best financial practices
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
The cost of the FCAT Test Maker Item was previously a part of the Scantron Achievement Series Item Bank contract, at a yearly cost of $150,000.00. This element was separated for this year to provide more flexibility in contracting for needed elements. The contract directly with the item bank provider provides the item banks at a cost of $118,110.53, for a savings of $31,889.47 over the previously negotiated pricing.
