Approve Award of Contract for Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Renovation at Mort Elementary School | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
A previously approved District Facilities Five Year Work Program provides for renovation of the HVAC system at Mort Elementary School. On October 22, 2013, the Board appointed Ossi Consulting Engineers, Inc. to provide design services. The scope of work includes replacement of rooftop HVAC equipment with new classroom fancoil units connected to the chilled water system; new chillers, air handling units and ductwork; a new energy management control system; new energy efficient interior fluorescent lighting; new ceilings; fire alarm upgrades; and installation of a fire sprinkler system. |

Total funds in the amount of $3,335,000 are included in the District Capital Outlay: Local Millage. The contract amount being awarded is $3,333,000. |
