EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
Odyssey of the Mind is an international education program whose mission is to provide creative problem-solving opportunities for students in kindergarten through college. Through solving open-ended problems, students develop creative thinking skills that can be applied to real life situations. Teams throughout the United States and more than 20 countries participate in the program. There are three levels of competition: regional, state, and world. Our district had 14 teams participate in the regional competition held on February 15, 2014, at Strawberry Crest High School. Six teams advanced to state competition which was held April 12, 2014, at the University of Central Florida.
A team from Mary Bryant Elementary School will have the honor of representing our district at the Odyssey of the Mind World Competition at Iowa State University, May 28-May 31, 2014. We are proud to recognize this team for their accomplishments. |
