Goals:  Help students plan for their postsecondary pathway by utilizing Guidmii.

Targeted Population:  School counselors will work with students to discuss their academic plan, review options and develop a pathway to success. Parents will have read only access to Guidmii and be able monitor student’s progress.

Timeline:  Guidmii is available to all 46 middle and 27 high schools. By the end of this school year, all 8^th grade students will have an academic plan completed through the use of Guidmii.

Professional/Staff Development:  Middle and high school counselors were trained on how to use Guidmii this school year in October. Counselors receive weekly updates by Guidmii’s Guiding Light and are provided training at monthly meetings.

Transferability:  Guidmii downloads student information from the school district’s Information Services portal on a weekly basis; therefore, students and parents can view updated academic records periodically. Guidmii’s customized reports are aligned with the district/state’s graduation requirements and the State University System. Students can track their promotion/graduation requirements, customize their Academic Plan, and project their Grade Point Average (GPA) through the GPA Scenario. Guidmii calculates several GPAs and they are aligned with state (unweighted), district (weighted), Bright Futures, NCAA, and Academic (out of state). In addition, Guidmii has customized reports for counselors and administrators to utilize when monitoring specific students.

Involvement:  LGS continues to work closely with the district’s guidance services, information services department, counselors and parents. As part of our effort to continue preparing students for postsecondary education, LGS has welcomed feedback and implemented changes that will enhance the future of our students’ college and career readiness.
