| Accept the Piggyback of Bid #11030414, Suspension System Repairs Cooperative Between Tampa Spring Company and the City of Tampa, Florida (Business Division) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| The district will be utilizing the City of Tampa agreement to purchase materials and repair services of suspension systems for buses and trucks. Examples of services include replacement of front end springs, replacement of bearings, and front end alignments.
The initial term of the contract is for one year beginning, April 22, 2014, and may be renewed at the same terms and conditions for two additional one-year periods. Applicable Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) 6A-1.012(6) and district policy allows purchases from contracts awarded by other government agencies, district school boards, Department of Management Services (DMS), etc., at or below specified prices. This contract may be renewed by the Superintendent, per the terms of the specifications. |

| Year-to-date expenditures are $117,164 for 2013/2014, and $419,215 for 2012/2013. Labor rate of $60 per hour and materials mark-up of 28 percent has remained the same since 2011. | |
| EVALUATION | |
| Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and Procurement Officer, who function as a team. Reviews are conducted face to face, typically quarterly, or by utilizing an online vendor performance report. Prior to soliciting a new contract, the Contract Administration team must first give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract. | |
