Recognition of McLane Middle School's Robotics Team, the VIBOTS (Curriculum and Instruction Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The McLane Middle School VIBOTS are a competitive robotics team of students who have won numerous regional and state competitions during the 2013/2014 school year, culminating in a victory as Middle School Division State Champions at the 2014 VEX Robotics State Championship held at the University of South Florida on March 1, 2014.  At this competition, the team was awarded First Place for Best Robot.  The team recently traveled to the 2014 VEX World Championships in Anaheim, California competing with over 750 teams from around the world and winning the 2014 STEM Education Award, one of the top awards at the event.

• Increase promotion rates at all grade levels and the percentage of high school graduates • Motivate students to become responsible learners
