Approve Construction Documents and Guaranteed Maximum Price for Lopez Modular (ESE Center)

A portion of Lopez ESE Center is currently housed in obsolete and non-economically repairable portable facilities. District staff selected  Long & Associates Architects/Engineers, Inc. and Halfacre Construction Company from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design and construction management services for a project to replace the portables with new modular buildings. The Board previously approved design development for a new facility comprised of six modular buildings providing clinic, classroom, dining room, storage and office space.

Approval of the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) will establish the cost for the project.

Project completion is scheduled for August 2014.

Total construction cost is warranted at $931,692.  The construction budget is $940,000.  This item is included in the District Capital Outlay:  Local Millage.
