SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS | |
Approve Construction Documents and Guaranteed Maximum Price for Modular Additions (Area Director Complex) at Three Sites (Areas 2, 4, 5) |
|
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
Area Leadership Directors (ALD) for Administrative Areas 2, 4 and 5 and their staffs are currently housed in obsolete and non-economically repairable portable facilities. District staff combined requirements for replacement of these facilities with modular buildings into a single project and selected Long & Associates Architects/Engineers, Inc. and Halfacre Construction Company from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design and construction management services. The Board previously approved design development for a project that includes demolition of existing portables located on the Sickles High School, Chamberlain High School and Burns Middle School campuses, and replacement with modular office buildings. In addition to the ALD office complexes, the scope includes an additional modular building on the Chamberlain campus for Pre-K staff, and additional parking on the Burns campus to support Area 5 staff requirements. A separate project will accommodate Transportation Department staff serving Areas 2 and 5 that will be displaced by the portable demolition. |
