EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | ||
We request approval of the Memorandum of Understanding with The College Board as a partnership extension for the College and Career Readiness Model (formally known as EXCELerator) to begin in the 2014/2015 school year through the 2016/2017 school year. Through a collaborative process, the program components were chosen and implementation approaches were optimized for Hillsborough County Public Schools, which resulted in:

• Increase promotion rates at all grade levels and the percentage of high school graduates • Demonstrate consistent and effective teaching methods • Motivate students to become responsible learners • Challenge and support all students with an appropriate curriculum | ||
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes) | ||
Annual expenditures of $3,420,746 pay for College and Career Readiness and fees totaling $1,097,791, as well as products including PSAT, SAT, Advanced Placement, Springboard, and staff development consulting total of $2,322,955. Funding is covered from the College and Career Readiness funds, additional weighted FTE-generated from Advance Placement exams, and the Curriculum and Instructional Division's budget. | ||
