SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Hold a Public Hearing and Amend the Community Investment Tax Project List Initially Approved on May 3, 2011, in Order to Approve Additional Projects to be Funded for the 2011/2016 Period by the Community Investment Tax Proceeds (Business Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Per the requirements of Hillsborough County Ordinance 96-12 and the Interlocal Agreement of July 17, 1996, the district is required to hold a Public Hearing and adopt a resolution listing the projects to be funded from the proceeds of the Community Investment Tax.

The School Board adopted a Resolution approving such projects on May 3, 2011, and it is in the best interest of the district to amend such project list in order to add the acquisition of school buses to be funded from the Community Investment Tax proceeds during the 2011/2016 period.

• Align financial resources to support the district’s strategic goals • Demonstrate best financial practices • Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety including students, employees, visitors, facilities, transportation, and health
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Estimated cost of buses to be purchased is $15 million to be funded from the proceeds of the Community Investment Tax.
