Accept the Proposal Submitted by Mayer Electric Supply Company, Inc. - Request for Proposal (RFP) #14019-MST Electrical Parts and Services (Business Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
On March 28, 2014, the Procurement Department, in conjunction with the Facilities Maintenance Support Department, issued an RFP for qualified firms to provide electrical parts and services. The following factors were included when evaluating proposals: experience and qualifications, utilization of small businesses, ability to provide services, and cost effectiveness.
The initial term of the contract shall be for a one-year period beginning June 11, 2014, with four one-year renewals. This contract may be renewed by the Superintendent, per the terms of the specifications. |

Funds of approximately $66,000 will be available in the Facilities Maintenance Department for the purchase of electrical parts and services. | |
EVALUATION | |
Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and Procurement Officer, who function as a team. Reviews are conducted face to face, typically quarterly, or by utilizing an online vendor performance report. Prior to soliciting a new contract, the Contract Administration team must first give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract. | |
