| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| On December 18, 2013, the Board approved the funding for the lease of twenty-two automobiles to be used in phase one of the district's safety and security plan to place Community School Officers with vehicles at selected elementary schools throughout the district. On April 24, 2014, the Procurement Department, in conjunction with the Manager of Security Services Department, issued an ITB to lease the 22 automobiles.
The monthly lease rates will include all maintenance and mileage charges for regularly scheduled services. The initial term of the contract is for a one-year period with four one-year renewals. All prices offered are firm against any increase for at least one year from the effective date. |

| Funds of approximately $51,480 will be available in the Security Services Department budget. Issuance of this ITB resulted in a savings of $7,128 from previously quoted bids. | |
| EVALUATION | |
| Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and Procurement Officer, who function as a team. Reviews are conducted face to face, typically quarterly, or by utilizing an online vendor performance report. Prior to soliciting a new contract, the Contract Administration Team must first give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract. | |
