Approve the Proposed Agreement Between Student Nutrition Services and Tampa Bay American Red Cross (Student Services and Federal Programs Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
Student Nutrition Services (SNS) will provide lunch and dinner meals to the Tampa Bay Chapter of the American Red Cross for their mass care mobile unit during a declared state of emergency. SNS will designate a kitchen, provided there is a fully functional facility available during the emergency, to provide up to 20,000 meals (10,000 lunches and 10,000 dinners) for pick up and distribution by the Red Cross. SNS will be reimbursed on an established per meal cost of $3.50.
The agreement shall be in effect from July 1, 2014, through June 30, 2015. |

Reimbursement from the Red Cross will be approximately $70,000 per day. This amount will cover the expenses that SNS incurs for the operation of the kitchen and food production. | |
